Grab a cup of tea/ coffee/ champagne and settle in for a story

(aka: The long version):

Speaking from the age of about one, I have many decades of vocal experience. (Sorry, I couldn't help myself). Jokes aside, I have always enjoyed anything to do with the voice - voice over, acting, presenting, public speaking, debating and singing.

I also have ADHD. Being neurodivergent has led me down the scenic career path - from getting a Banking and Finance degree to owning a cake business, to offering careers advice (definitely better at giving than receiving!) to becoming a neurodiversity subject matter expert. Oh, and I also paint.

I have worked for major charities and public bodies but you might be thinking - what does this have to do with voice over? Well, throughout my career travels, I have learned key skills that make me a great voice over artist and professional to do business with. These include:

I understand the importance of active listening - what outcome is the client trying to achieve? And so what do they need from me to do this?

Professionalism - is there an issue? A tight deadline? I know how to behave in a professional manner, even when things might not go to plan or we're under pressure.

Taking pride in my work - providing a high quality service from initial communications to final delivery, ensuring that the client is happy, is my top priority.

The ability to take direction and handle feedback - receiving feedback is a skill! I am able to take your advice and guidance and use it to better my work as opposed to take it as a criticism!

Communicating to different audiences - having worked with a range of people, from those going through difficult challenges in their lives, to young people embarking on their careers, to CEOs of multimillion pound organisations, I know the importance of tailoring your message and your tone.

Varied use of voice - my career has come with a range of speaking opportunities. I have gained experience in presenting and delivering speeches at large scale events, delivering training to groups both large and small and producing engaging sound bites for internal corporate campaigns. I can take my varied experience and understanding of how different situations require different vocal styles and apply this knowledge to your project.

Networking - I love meeting new people! I have developed excellent networking skills throughout my career and will use these to promote my work and in turn, yours!

Alongside my career, I spend my spare time riding my two horses, writing music, listening to a rather large number of audiobooks and playing D&D (always good for testing and practicing those character voices!)

So now you know more about me, have a listen to my reels and if you like what you hear - get in touch!
